Have I just stolen the name of Randall Munroe's blog? A little bit... do I feel bad? Not really; it is an endearingly silly name after all.

Right now I should be studying, but wanted to start a log of thoughts I had, so I can actually concentrate; sort of deferring the seemingly important information.

Part of it is realising how much I miss out on online in things I'm interested in - coffee especially, it's particularly obvious in the aftermath of MICE2013; and also how much of the information I process that I forget about (the Alpha Dominche Steampunk I had coffee from yesterday is a prime example - post will follow).

Right now I've just started a BTech in Computing/Computer Studies, which 18 year old me would have loved singularly, but coffee is a sultry mistress, and my desire to excel as a roaster/barista/taster/hospitality person may well overtake any desire to get into a field that has interested me since age 5.

I guess I just wanted to write all this down - to get it out of my head, and see if anyone has any advice one way or another.
